South African Equities: Anglo American, Anglo Platinum Shares

Oct. 17 (Bloomberg) -- South Africa's FTSE/JSE Africa All Share Index lost 37.99, or 0.2 percent, to 20,057.97 at 10:20 p.m. in Johannesburg. The measure has declined 2.7 percent this week, heading for its fifth weekly retreat.

Anglo Platinum production drops

Anglo Platinum (AMS), the world’s largest platinum producer, reported a 2.8% drop in its diluted headline earnings per share (HEPS) for the year to end December 2007.
The company’s FY07 diluted HEPS was 52.01 rand compared to 53.52 rand for the full year to end December 2006.
