Government said to be considering request - Bank economist supports the principle January 30, 2008By Ethel Hazelhurst and Donwald PresslyJohannesburg and Cape Town - Eskom has approached the government for help in financing its R1.3 trillion power station building programme.
Although the government's policy is for public enterprises to be self-funding, the request was being considered, ministerial sources said yesterday.
